A Microsoft mouse, that has been vinyl dyed nearly totally black
The new connector soldered in place.
You can also see the wrapping of electrical tape I had to add to thicken up the cable.
As the original cable was too thin for the new connector to get a grip on.

It is virtually pin per pin compatible with USB.
For example Pin1 is +5volts, the same as Pin1 on a USB
A newer industrial style mouse.
