I decided to light my case differently than a Cold
Cathode.
I had just bought a bunch of Super Bright LED's
The knight rider effect is very popular but I
decided to invert the effect, and make the lights blink off instead of
on.
I modified a circuit for an LED chaser. I made it
so that when the chaser circuit is supposed to turn an LED on, it
instead turns one of the LED's off. (Using a 3906 Transistor)
Also the transistor allows the LED to run at full brightness. I
then wired 470mF capacitors in parallel with the LED's. This causes a
fading effect on the LED's
The speed of the effect is controlled by a
potentiometer in the front of the case (Below the reset button) |
