Front Panel Audio Connections
For the front panel of my Media PC I wanted Optical In/Out, RCA Digital In/out, Line In, and Line Out
The add-on board that came with my Soyo Dragon's on-board sound card works perfectly for this, with a little modification.
First off the two analog audio jacks are wired up for Center/Bass and Rear R/L
Since I will never be using these for their intended purpose again, I cut the traces that feed to them.
Soldered up two sets of Audio Cable to the connections on the back
And wired them to a header on the back of the board.
One set of 4 pins will run to the Audio Out of my Sound Blaster Live
The other set will run to the CD-ROM input on the motherboards sound card.
