Acrylic Case Planning

First off the acrylic. Very cheap from home depot. I bought three sheets of this for the smaller parts of the case. It is 1/8" thick 11"x14"

First the tray that will hold the motherboard. I used a Sharpie to mark the screw holes.
I simply used the motherboard to measure, and left 1/2" overlap on the edges for the tray to slide on.

Ready to cut.
(The bottom cutouts are for the harddrive)

In order for the cards to fit the back plate I removed the metal brackets from the rear of the cards.

I then used these plates to measure out and draw the various connectors that will populate the back plate on the motherboard tray.

All drawn up and ready to cut

The DVD parts were pretty easy to size up also...

Most of the mounting will be using stand offs like these.
They are simply ripped from other PC cards.
