Back to Events - Back to EverLAN

I left from Austin on the Thursday before EverLAN
![]()

I arrived at the Colorado Springs airport later that day.
![]()

It was a half-hour ride from the airport to hotel.
![]()

One the way I got some good views of the rocky mountains.
![]()

I stayed at the Radisson hotel about two blocks from the event center
![]()

My hotel room was average sized, but nice.
![]()

I went at the Phil Long Expo Center to setup for the event
![]()

They had a scrolling sign, that moved so fast starting at it would give you a headache
![]()

EverLAN had two cool projected logos above the NOC
![]()

Geekwarez was here with lots of t-shirts.
![]()

ABIT and Kingston had a shared booth with lots of boards and demos
![]()

Inside The Game was present covering the tournaments
![]()

The NOC was loaded with dozens of computers and servers
![]()

ATI and AMD Shared a booth, where I was setup
![]()

The BYOC sat 500, and I estimated we had around 400
![]()

EverLAN had a great spectator/presentation area where I gave my Electronics workshop
![]()

Harry, from ABIT, also gave a presentation on overclocking
![]()

The tournament area is where all the action took place.
![]()

The sponsors (AMD, ATI, ABIT, and Kingston) joined forces in a counterstrike game against the gamers.
(We lost horribly)
![]()

On Saturday I ended up staying at the event until 3:30am
![]()

In the console gaming area, people were clonked-out on the Love-sac beanbags.
![]()

The BYOC was nearly empty
![]()

On Sunday there was a Jalapeno eating contest, the first person to finish a 1lb can won a ATI Radeon 9800XT. Second place won a Plantronics Headset
![]()

The guy in the peach shirt won first place.
![]()

I had a two-hour wait for my plane to head for home.
![]()

I wanted a window seat, and ended up with the second to last seat at the back of the plane.
The engine was directly out my window, and it sounded like the inside of a washing machine during taxiing.
![]()

Here's a shot over Colorado springs.
![]()

Hours later I arrived in Dallas
![]()

It took twenty minutes to get off the plane.
![]()

Finally after a two-hour layover, I was headed for home.
