Mr. Red and I arrived in Huston for the www.Directron.com LAN Event
![]()

The event seats 500, it was about half filled.
![]()

We setup in the Battlefield tourney area along with some of the regulars from the AMDZone.com LAN Events
![]()

There was of course lots of give-aways from Directron and other vendors.
![]()

There was streetfighter to play.
![]()

And Halo on X-Box
![]()

There was a cool big screen connected to a computer for gaming.
![]()

There was an clear modded Intel case on show at one of the vendor booths.
I think they missed the point, and just filled it with as much stuff as they could.
![]()

In the Directron Mod contest there was a cool watercooled shuttle PC that won third place.
![]()

Mr. Red won second place with Deja, his hand made wood computer.
![]()

I won first place with the ATI/AMD PC.
This was the PC's event test run just before it will be totally complete.
The PC ran great, both thermally and in gaming.

Between Mr. Red and I we got lots of misc stuff.
The best being a watercooling kit, and a PC Case.

But the prize for the worst freebie ever goes to Enermax.
I don't even understand this thing, it's a Plexiglas flower attached with a spring to a twisty straw. The straw has a pen on the end, and a gel-looking shoe to hold the pen.
What in the world does this have to do with enermax power supplies???
